Location: Hotel, Transport and Tips

Sweet Bal Weekend is hosted by Hep Cat Club, our studio is located at Viktoriastraße 3B, 86150 Augsburg, Germany.

The entrance is located directly at platform 1 of Augsburg Central Station. To find the entrance, imagine stepping off a train at platform 1 and turning left toward the next building (Helio Center). The entrance is the door at the corner of that building, just a few meters from the roof of the station building at platform 1. You will also see the Hep Cat Club logo there. Our rooms are located on the first floor.

Public Transport - City-Zone

Have you heard about the City Zone Augsburg? Within the city center, you can use all buses and trams for FREE – pretty great, right?

Some nice places to visit in Augsburg:

Augsburg has many beautiful spots, but some of them are a little hidden, especially if you’re starting from the main train station. Be sure to take a walk through the Lechviertel (Lower Old Town) – it’s definitely worth it. You might also enjoy visiting the Fuggerei or the famous Augsburger Puppenkiste.

Please remember to check opening hours in advance, as some places may be closed on Sundays or close earlier than expected.

Traveling by train

The easiest way to reach us is by train. Augsburg Central Station is located directly next to Hep Cat Club. We highly recommend traveling to the festival by train – for the sake of the planet we all love (and the only one where we can dance balboa). You can book your train tickets to Augsburg via Deutsche Bahn.

Traveling by car

If you are traveling by car, we encourage you to consider carpooling. Parking is available in the Helio Center parking garage. Free Parking within the city center can be difficult to find – if you are looking for free options, you may need to park your car a bit outside the city center.

Hotels

There are several hotels close to the venue, such as the Ibis Hotel Hauptbahnhof or the Rugs Hotel, both located at Augsburg Central Station and within easy walking distance of the event (approx. 3–5 minutes). Many of our students have also recommended Hotel Maison Viktoria, which is located just across the street from our dance studio.

For a more budget-friendly option, you may want to consider the City Hostel/Jakoberhof, which is about a 20-minute walk away.

Food & Drinks

During the festival, coffee and refreshing drinks will be available at our bar. Free tap water will be provided throughout the classes.

Thanks to the studio’s convenient location at Augsburg Central Station and close to the city center, there are plenty of options nearby for lunch or dinner. It’s just a short walk to restaurants, cafés, or a quick bite on your way back to the hotel after classes.
