Prices & Levels

This is a open level class from Balboa Intermediate to Advanced. You should dance Balboa regularly in weekly classes and/or events. In this class you will improve your dancing skills and learn to feel better on the social dance floor.

Anni & Gasper will share their knowledge and concept of dancing Slowbal, origins of the dance, its steps, moves, music and flow. It is a great opportunity for anybody who would like to learn Slowbal. If you already know how to dance Slowbal, then think of this as a great opportunity to refresh memory, and practise and at the same time help new dancers to progress faster.

• No absolute swing dance beginners

• You should have solid basics and experience (classes, workshops and social dancing) in other swing dances like Balboa, Lindy Hop, Blues, West Coast Swing,...

• You are familiar with the concept of Lead & Follow and are open to change partners in the class

• cannot combined with Friday Special Balboa

You know all the basics and many variations in Balboa. You want to improve your dancing skills and learn new patterns to feel better and confident on the dance floor. You can dance to a great range of tempos. You want to find your own style and be more musical. You want to learn new moves and variations to spice up your dancing.

• cannot combined with Slow Bal Level 3

You already have experience in dancing Slow Bal or have at least attended the Friday Basics Workshop and fulfill the requirements for the Basics Workshop. You want to improve your dancing skills and learn new patterns to feel better and confident on the dance floor.

• cannot combined with Balboa Level 4

You breathe connection and you no longer need to think about basics! You can lead or follow variations and complex patterns without thinking. You feel confident on the social dance floor and even fast or difficult music won’t stop you! Sometimes you might have connection issues. You want to improve your style by getting to know the style of the teachers. 

• cannot combined with Slow Bal Level 2

You know all the basics and many variations in Slow Bal. You dance Slow Bal regularly in weekly classes or participated in several Workshops or festivals. Expand your Slow Bal repertoire and become more playful with counterbalance, clear transitions, pivoting and changing tones in connection. At this point your teachers might challenge you with ideas, topics and games, that are outside your comfort zone. You want to improve your style by getting to know the style of the teachers.
